Introduction

Leo Snel (46) is the owner of ADVIDU. Advidu is a firm that is specialised in building pigeon sites for the Internet. These sites will be put on  Duiven.net, Tauben.net and Pigeonsport.net.

Since 2001 ‘Duivenwinkel.nl’ is a new part of ADVIDU. Late 2002 on Duiven.net a new site was installed that deals with the sale of pigeons. Apart from that also sites other than for pigeon sport are being built nowadays.

-"De Brive" 2nd prize Semi National NPO race from Brive 1998
(6.327 birds).

As for the 2 day races the results got better tear after year. The best was 1998.
In 1999 en 2000 the youngsters had health problems and due to that we could not fill up empty places in our racing loft. If you have only a small loft you have more difficulty dealing with problems.

To overcome problems in the future an aviary was put up against the young bird loft in the spring of 2001. In that year 18 babies were being raced. After the season we still had 15. After a thorough selection 12 of them were put in the racing loft.

These yearlings were trained at shortdistance and middle distance in 2002 and 8 of them have survived.
They will be raced in 2003 as 2 years old plus a special hen (daughter of "Brive"). In 2002 hardly any youngsters got lost so that we do not have problems to fill the 10 nestboxes.
As all the best racers of the previous years were put in the stockloft plus some birds of the best bloodlines the future looks great (see the family and breeding birds).

Lofts and racing methods.

The lofts are no longer than 22 feet and they are divided into 3 sections, 2 for the old birds and one for the babies. The breeders are housed somewhere else. 10 Pairs will be raced natural. About 15 to 20 babies are bred every year.
