2000 was a super season to the"Bliksem". With his results he easily could have become national Axe-pigeon of Belgium on the middle distance, if only Gaby had put him on Bourges on the weekend of 30.7.2000 instead of on Perigueux. That weekend it was only the flight from Bourges that was important to become Ace-pigeon. But there was no choice. The moral winner was the "Bliksem" because he still had the lowest coefficient.

Fortunately the ´Golden Wittenbuik´ came back to the loft of Gaby Vandenabeele after breeding very successful at the loft of a fancier in the neighbourhood. In fact this was not that surprisingly because he came out of the very best pigeons. His father was the famous ´Wittenbuik´ and his mother was the ´Kathy´, daughter of the ´Vital´, 1st national Ace-pigeon long distance 1993 ´Vital´ was bred at the loft Noël en David Lippens, the national champion long distance KBDB 1993 .
