The base of the colony is mainly build up with the offspring of the NL83-1430378 when mated to the NL88-1074129 named Bonte Leusink hen. Two direct sons of the this basicpair won:

  • 1st National Ruffec 1995

  • 1st National Ruffec 1997

Sire of the mainbreeder 83-378 is the NL79-380906, son Ace champion Middle Drente Combine, being a Grondelaer x Delbar cross. Dam of the basecock came directly from Tonnie Leusink of Neede and with the number NL81-850818 and was bred from halfbrother 1st National St.Vincent (NL75-960296) trough Hagers of Rotterdam (Tournier strain), when mated to NL801623385 from Hendriks of Twello (winner 1st international Barcelona 1980, Van Wanroy strain).

The hen of the main breeding pair is a granddaughter of the famed 'Opa' and granddaughter of the 'Bonte Prins' from Dick Stern of Ruurlo, long distance specialist who owned a brilliant Aarden cross Delbar family. The hen came directly from Tonnie Leusink of Neede.

Another strong influence in the family is the NL95-1246166 by the name of 'Goosie', this hen is a halfsister to Bonte Leusink hen and was a gift from Tonnie Leusink. When she was mated to the 83-378 she became the dam of the winners: 2nd national Bergerac 1999 which was also the 5th fastest on the day against 36330 birds, 5th naional Ruffec and 18th NPO Troyes.

Another important hen at the base of the Kiekebelt colony was the Nl86-1979370 being called De Late. She is a halfsister to the main breeder 83-378 and when she was mated to NL91-1255660, who won 1st national Ruffec 1995, they bred the bleu hen 'Henderikje' winner 3rd national St.Vincent 1997. When De Late was mated to 1st national Ruffec 1997 they bred two sons NL97-2266385 and 384 which were put into stock inmediately. The 385 sired the winner 1st national Ablis and 385 sired the winner of 6th national Ruffec '00 which was clocked in full darknes at 3 o'clock in the night.

When De Late was mated to her halfbrother 83-378, they bred the strongly inbred NL95-1105383 by the name of De Laet 78. This cock mated to Bonte Leusink hen bred the winners 16th national Bergerac and 54th national Ruffec. From this same pairing De Prinses 98-1948000 was bred. This hen was paired to 't Vetje NL97-2266360 (daughter 83-378 x Goosie) and bred the winner of the september overnightrace Limoges in the Fondunion 2000.

Several sons and daughter of the main breeder 83-378 were paired up with topquality material from famous lofts like Jan Ouwerkerk of Lekkerkerk, Piet de Weerd, Van Kooten-Van Bemmel partnership and Evert Glazenburg which resulted in winning; 1st NPO national Ablis, 6th national Ruffec, 3rd fastest on the day from Bordeaux all Holland, 40th national St.Vincent, 47th national Ruffec, 55th national Bergerac, 79th section Ruffec and many more topprizes on overnight nationals.

This gave the following result; 16 times on national videotext under the first 10 national positions and 3 national wins.

More recent birds were brought in from the famed Krouwel-Pollman partnership from Tiel, collectors of top racers and breeders of many national winners. From them two granddaughters of De Sterke Barcelona and a grandson of Het Wonder van Neer. Futhermore the Braakhuis, Van der Wegens en the Aarden- Van de Burg lines were brought in.

Also some of the own topracers were put into stock like De Limo NL96-1723148, direct Hans Eijerkamp and sons from the lines of the Dolle and Witbuik of Batenburg. Limo scored 10 national prizes on overnightraces including;
